Last week I wasn’t sure if this album was brilliant and I just wasn’t getting it or completely overrated. This week I’m definitely leaning more towards brilliant with a benefit of the doubt towards the sections I’m still working through. Its undeniably fun and shockingly eclectic. This album is one of the craziest sonic trips you will embark on. Guaranteed!
I also just realized that my last three song picks have been Janelle Monae, Erykah Badu, and Sharon Jones & The Dap Kings. I guess I have a thing for African American female soul singers. Who knew?
